29613 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister for the Public Service and Digitising Government: Further to his replies to 27999 and 27991 (2026), does the Public Service Commissioner have the power to investigate complaints about political neutrality made against Crown Entities or their officials and if so, is the Commissioner able to investigate such complaints, if made by a Minister?
Hon Paul Goldsmith: Yes. The Commissioner must conduct an investigation into a Crown entity if requested by the responsible Minister. (Refer to the Public Service Act 2020, Schedule 3 Clause 5(2)(b)).
