29574 (2026). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: How many former Wakari Hospital Ward 10a patients have subsequently entered the criminal justice system, including remand or imprisonment, since January 2026, if any?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that Health New Zealand is not aware of any Wakari Hospital Ward 10a patients subsequently entering the criminal justice system, including remand or imprisonment, since 1 January 2026. I am further advised that Health NZ clinical teams would only become aware of such a situation if they were to be informed through the Courts or Corrections systems.
