29559 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Why did NZTA offer Wellington Airport confidential briefings on the SH1 Wellington Improvements Project while simultaneously refusing to brief local MPs on the same project?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) has advised me that Wellington Airport is a key stakeholder affected by the project, and information was shared with it under a non-disclosure agreement while the investment case was under consideration. Any decisions about the provision of information to particular parties are operational matters for NZTA.
