29556 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Did the Minister recuse himself from any decisions relating to the SH1 Wellington Improvements Project due to any personal connection to Wellington Airport, and if not, why not?

Hon Chris Bishop: Decisions relating to the project during the current pre-implementation phase (which is funded through the National Land Transport Fund) are largely operational in nature and are made by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi officials and overseen by the NZTA Board.
