29554 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Finance: Why are the distributional impacts of the tax at a glance document prepared for Budget 2024 based on the tax year 2027?
Hon Nicola Willis: Corrected reply: When the Treasury provided me with distributional modelling of the personal income tax changes, they made the decision to model tax year 2027, which is the year ending 31 March 2027. This was done to ensure all changes and flow-on impacts were reflected for the full tax year that is modelled. The distributional impacts in Tax at a Glance therefore represent the full and final impact of the Government's tax changes, ensuring that no benefits were missed.
