29515 (2026). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: Was his Chief of Staff emailed a copy of the draft response to the Environmental Law Initiative’s OIA in May 2025 by his former Chief Policy Advisor, if so, on what date or dates?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: I am advised that my former Chief Policy Advisor did not provide a draft copy of my response provided to the Environmental Law Initiative on 21 May 2025 to my Chief of Staff or any staff member in my office. My former Chief Policy Advisor did not draft the response, he provided documents that related to the Smith v Fonterra case, identified as potentially relevant to the request I received on 26 March 2025 from the Environmental Law Initiative under the Official Information Act 1982.
