29496 (2023). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: Is the Minister confident that they will be able to achieve the government’s commitment to "ensure Immigration New Zealand is engaged in proper risk management and verification to ensure migrants are filling genuine workforce needs" as outlined in the National Party and New Zealand First coalition agreement” in light of commitments to reduce back-office staff in the public sector?

Hon Erica Stanford: I have received a briefing from MBIE on the immigration portfolio and I am looking forward to receiving further briefings from senior MBIE officials on the policies outlined in the National Party Manifesto and agreements between the National Party and its coalition partners.
