29480 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Finance: What are the economic forces beyond and within the Governments control that the Minister referred to in her Budget Speech?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Member is not reporting my Budget Speech correctly. It referred to economic forces beyond the Government’s immediate control. In my view, any economic events worthy of the term “force” are almost certainly outside the Government’s immediate control.
