29475 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Rail: What consideration, if any, has been given to trialling low-cost warning technologies such as solar-powered flashing signs or rumble strips at high-risk level crossings?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: KiwiRail advise it has previously trialled solar powered, low-cost, advance warning 'Expect Trains' signage at level crossings. The trial was inconclusive.
