Hon Paul Goldsmith: In response to the challenging fiscal environment the Government is aiming to reduce Crown expenditure as a proportion of the overall economy. Like many organisations, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner has been asked to find savings in a tight fiscal environment. The work of the Office in promoting and protecting the privacy of individuals remains important.
