29471 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Why has the appropriation for services to prevent or reduce crime and services that reduce harm and victimisation as a result of crime been reduced from $28,034,000 to $25,315,000?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: The appropriation for services to prevent or reduce crime and services that reduce harm and victimisation has reduced by a net amount of $2.3 million. Funding of $3.9 million for Netsafe has been transferred from this appropriation to the Department of Internal Affairs, and there was a further $1.5million reduction in this appropriation from the return of funding for the Mana Ōrite relationship between the Justice Sector leadership Board and Ināia Tonu Nei. Excluding these two adjustments, funding for the appropriation has increased by $3.1 million.
