29467 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Has funding for Community Safety Providers reduced in the estimates; if so why?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: Community Safety Providers funding appropriation has reduced by $2.3m. This is due to a transfer of $3.9 million of funding for Netsafe from the Ministry of Justice to the Department of Internal Affairs, and a $1.5 million reduction from the return of funding for the Mana Ōrite relationship between the Justice Sector Leadership Board and Ināia Tonu Nei. Excluding these two adjustments, funding for Community Safety providers has increased by $3.1 million.
