29458 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: What risk assessment was completed, if any, to inform the decision to cut 60% of the Wellington Maritime Unit's operating time as reported by RNZ in December 2025?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that the risks associated with reducing the Wellington Police Maritime Unit’s after-hours availability were considered against its operational demand. A six-month trial period was completed with final evaluation currently underway.
