29446 (2025). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many households visiting the Papanui MSD Service Centre, if any, indicated they were homeless at the time of lodging a housing application between 1 June 2024 and 31 May 2025, broken down by month?

Hon Tama Potaka: I refer the Member to the attached table, which provides the number of clients applying for the Public Housing register, who were living in cars, or homeless, registered with the Papanui MSD Service Centre from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2025, broken down by month. When an applicant completes a Public Housing Register application staff record the type of accommodation the client is currently staying in. Information is updated when MSD is made aware of a change in circumstances. The applicant’s type of accommodation is based on the data held at the date of reporting.
