29444 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter January to March 2024 to improve pathways to nurse practitioner, nurse prescriber, and other specialist nursing roles?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that 121 places on the Nurse Practitioner Training Programme (NPTP) were fully funded for the 2024 academic year, which began in the January to March quarter; a 51.3% increase compared to the previous year.
