29425 (2026). Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Corrections: How many prisoners currently in Corrections custody have previously received inpatient treatment at Ward 10a, Wakari Hospital, if any?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that the information requested by the member is not centrally recorded, and to provide a response Corrections would have to add additional configurations to their health information database and confirm any information retrieved with Health New Zealand. Due to the number of people Corrections manages in prison, this would require substantial collation and analysis, which I am not prepared to ask officials to undertake for the purposes of responding to this question.
