Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: Has he or his office investigated how Minister Jones could have signed off a Cabinet Paper for his proposed October 2025 travel to Toronto, Canada saying he was travelling in Premium Economy when Business Class tickets had already been booked two weeks earlier?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Minister Jones has acknowledged, there was an administrative error. It is my expectation that Ministers and the offices take all steps to stick within their travel budgets, but there will be times where additional costs are necessary.
