29422 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter January to March 2024 to give medical students better information about areas of training where NZ has greater need?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March quarter, Health New Zealand initiated a project to identify the scope of health careers; understand the various educational and vocational pathways and assess the needs of potential users. Engagement with stakeholders, including educational institutions and district-level educators has commenced.
