29394 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter January to March 2024 to implement pacific health science academies nation wide?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March quarter, planning was underway to expand Pacific Health Science Academies (PHSAs) across the Te Manawa Taki, Central and Te Waipounamu regions. I am further advised that during the January to March quarter, planning occurred to expand the Northern Region PHSAs to an additional six schools. PHSAs are currently offered in 13 secondary schools in the Northern Region.
