29378 (2023). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: What percentage of schools in New Zealand have participated in the PISA study in 2023?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that the last PISA cycle occurred in 2022. Our original sample consisted of 227 schools, 140 of which agreed to participate along with an additional 29 replacement schools (weighted school response of 61.4% before replacement and 72.4% after replacement). The next cycle is PISA 2025.
