Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter January to March 2024 to expand access to earn-as-you-learn programmes that help students train while they work in health, with an initial focus on paraprofessional, assistant and kaiāwhina roles?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March quarter, work was underway to roll out national Kaiāwhina cadetship programmes across the motu, starting with Auckland.
