29336 (2023). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister intend to “amend the Banking (Prudential Supervision) Act to prohibit any New Zealand registered bank discriminating against, or debanking, businesses or individuals on the basis of business type or political belief” as found on page 20 of the 2023 New Zealand First Party manifesto, and if so, what advice, reports, briefings, aides-memoire, or any other documents has the Minister, or any member of their Office commissioned on this by title and date?

Hon Andrew Bayly: I am not responsible for a political party's manifesto. I intend to implement policies outlined in the speech from the Throne and the coalition agreements that are relevant to my portfolio.
