29262 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Education: How many school bus routes were funded by the Ministry of Education in the Dunedin territorial local authority in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024?

Hon Erica Stanford: I refer the Member to the attached table, showing the number of daily school bus routes funded by the Ministry of Education in the Dunedin area in 2022, 2023 and 2024. I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that prior to the current school bus contract which commenced in 2022, routes were grouped and named differently which means that the Ministry is unable to provide a consistent view over the same set of routes for 2020 and 2021.
