Hon Nicole McKee: I received an email titled ‘Three strikes implementation - PR and Q’ and A on 9 June 2025 from the Ministry of Justice containing an attached draft press release. This document noted that 9,675 warnings issued under the previous regime have been reactivated. I note that this number does not represent the number of people with reactivated warnings, as one person may have multiple warnings reactivated. Titles and dates of earlier previous advice relating to the impact of reactivating warnings under the previous three strikes regime can be found in the response to WPQ 69627 (2024).
