29144 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister for Infrastructure: Further to reply 24306 (2026), what was the original agreed scope and what is the reduced scope of the new Whanganui Hub for New Zealand Police?

Hon Chris Bishop: The original scope of the new Whanganui Hub agreed under the IRG “Shovel Ready” programme included construction of a NZ Police hub building and a custodial care facility. Only the custodial facility will now be delivered under the IRG “Shovel Ready” programme with the NZ Police hub building to be delivered with funding announced in Budget 2026.
