Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What is the Government's response to the Homelessness Insights report to 31 March 2026, released on 17 June 2026, recording that providers in Napier worked with substantially more people living without shelter from October 2025 to March 2026 than a year earlier, including one provider's increase from 37 to 89 people?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Government has responded by earmarking $2.7 million of the additional $14.54 million announced on 17 June for support services to help people sleeping rough in six new locations over the next year, and Napier is one of those locations.
