29103 (2025). Hon Jenny Salesa to the Minister of Customs: What is the ratio of frontline inspection staff to total containers processed for each port annually for the last 5 years?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) is unable to provide the ratio of frontline inspection staff to total containers processed for each port annually for the past five years, without undertaking substantial collation. I do not consider this use of officials’ time to be in the public interest.
