29099 (2025). Hon Jenny Salesa to the Minister of Customs: How many staff employed by NZ Customs are under the age of 30 as at 1 May 2025, and how has this number changed since 1 May 2023?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that as at 1 May 2025 there are 189 staff employed by the New Zealand Customs Service under the age of 30, and as at 1 May 2023 the number of staff under the age of 30 was 202. This response is inclusive of the staff of the Border Executive Board Secretariat as these staff are considered employees of the New Zealand Customs Service.
