29085 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What does the Government attribute the decrease in Pacific households in the Housing First programme not yet in stable housing, recorded in the Homelessness Insights report to 31 March 2026 as falling from 194 in March 2025 to 110 in March 2026, to; and how many of those households were housed, as opposed to exiting the programme for other reasons?
Hon Chris Bishop: As the end of March 2026 there were 482 Pacific households housed and in service of the Housing First programme. Across the 12 month period ending March 2026, 244 Pacific households that were waiting to be housed were housed.
This is in line with the overall trend in the same period, the overall number of households waiting to be housed in the programme dropped from 1,102 to 1,065 households; in total, 1,284 households (that were waiting to be housed) were housed.
