29077 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What is the Government's response to the finding in the Homelessness Insights report to 31 March 2026 that the number of people recorded as 'no fixed abode' in the National Health Index rose from 790 in the year to June 2023 to 1,037 in the year to June 2025, an increase of approximately 31 percent?
Hon Chris Bishop: I am concerned that the current system is not delivering the outcomes we need. The increase highlights the need to improve how government agencies identify, support and respond to people with complex needs. The Government is committed to building a fairer and more effective housing support system that better supports those with the greatest need. I am advised that Housing and Health officials are working together to improve housing and health supports for people engaged with both systems.
