29067 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What is the Government's response to the observation by Te Matapihi recorded in the Homelessness Insights report to 31 March 2026 that short-term and limited funding undermines workforce sustainability and long-term planning for Māori housing providers?
Hon Chris Bishop: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development advises that short term responses are an appropriate intervention to sit alongside long-term investment in existing programmes. The flexibility of short-term responses enables responsiveness to changing needs and the ability to deliver local solutions in the places they are needed.
