Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Finance: What Cabinet papers, if any, has the Minister taken to Cabinet during the week of 27 November 2023 regarding amending the Overseas Investment Act 2005 to make it easier for Build-to-Rent housing to be developed in New Zealand, by title and date?

Hon Nicola Willis: I did not take any papers to Cabinet Committee on the topic of making it easier for Build-to-Rent housing to be developed in New Zealand during the week of 27 November 2023. In accordance with the 100 day plan agreed by Cabinet on 29 November, I will report to Cabinet on policy proposals to amend the Overseas Investment Act to make it easier to develop build-to-rent housing by the end of February 2024.
