Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning 2 June 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and what is the proposed net change in roles?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Sport NZ Group are anticipating a reduction in overall headcount between 1.6-1.8 FTE subject to the outcome of the consultation, as part of this proposed reduction Sport NZ Group will need to consider regional needs and the operating models of sports but see no need to make changes to roles, only a reduction in headcount.
