Arena Williams to the Minister for Building and Construction: Does the Minister agree with Certified Builders chief executive Malcolm Fleming that “Overseas-approved products might not be able to perform to the standards required here, and there needs to be a way of assessing that before they are put to use” and if so, how does the Minister reconcile that with the National Party’s policy to “require building materials and product systems that meet international standards equivalent to those of New Zealand to be approved here" as outlined in the National Party's 'Better Building and Construction' document?
