Hon Simeon Brown: The former Minister for Energy and I received advice that: - While there had been a focus on removing duplication with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority, overlaps remained. - Science system reforms provide an opportunity for more strategic energy innovation funding. - There is a need to look harder for efficiencies in Crown spending in the continued tight fiscal environment.
