Lan Pham to the Minister of Agriculture: What correspondence, if any, listed by date and recipient, has the Ministry for Primary Industries received from stakeholders (such as dairy companies and agricultural industry and lobby groups) about the review of the Dairy Industry Restructuring Act (DIRA)?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries has been in regular communication with various stakeholders regarding the review of the Dairy Industry Restructuring Act (DIRA). These stakeholders include Fonterra, Open Country Dairy, Karikaas Natural Dairy Products, Tompkins Wake, and Goodman Fielder NZ Limited. I consider that the time and resources required to collate the full list of correspondence in the manner requested by the Member within the timeframe allowed for written parliamentary questions is not in the public interest.
