Hon Nicola Willis: The key tax and transfer measures in Budget 2024 are expected to have a positive effect on future child poverty rates as measured by the AHC50 and have no statistically significant impact as measured by the BHC50. No partial assessment has been made of the impact of the personal income tax changes alone, as the Treasury assesses the total impact on household incomes and assessing partial impacts can be misleading.
