28985 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Revenue: What concerns, if any, have been raised by private organisations about whether the use of the generic tax policy process was used for the measures contained in the Taxation (Budget Measures) Bill?

Hon Simon Watts: As outlined in reply number 28992 (2024), the Government will remain transparent and open in its tax policy processes. It is committed to public engagement in the design of tax policy including through the Generic Tax Policy Process. There are instances where the GTPP will not be used, for example in relation to Budget matters.
