Hon Nicola Willis: I was advised by the Treasury that the median full-time wage and salary worker pays 5 per cent more of their income in tax today compared to 2010, when tax thresholds were last adjusted. The Government's tax relief will reduce this earner's tax bill by around $35 per fortnight, and if they have children they could be eligible for up to $50 more per fortnight from the in-work tax credit and $150 per fortnight from FamilyBoost.
