28951 (2026). Hon Rachel Brooking to the Minister of Health: What is the current status of Health New Zealand/Te Whatu Ora's national review of pathology services; what is the expected date for the release of the review, if any?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that work to develop a national Pathology Service Development Plan is underway and is due to go to the Health New Zealand Board for approval in early 2027. Once in place, the plan will inform new contract frameworks and funding model requirements.
