28946 (2023). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What directions, if any, has the Minister given their responsible ministries, agencies or departments on reducing their staff headcount, by ministry, agency or department?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: No such direction has been given to the agencies I am responsible for. However, I would note that it is the quality and efficacy of public servants that is most important, not the number.
