28929 (2023). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Māori Development: What directions, if any, has the Minister given their responsible ministries, agencies or departments on reducing their staff headcount, by ministry, agency or department?

Hon Tama Potaka: I have given instructions to Te Puni Kōkiri to investigate options to reduce expenditure across the vote and achieve 6.5% savings. It is an operational matter as to how these savings are to be achieved.
