28924 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister for Biosecurity: Following Reply 27676 (2026), when will the "Wild Animal Information Management System" be operative?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I am advised that the Wild Animal Information System (WAIMS) becoming operative will happen iteratively. The first contributing data collection application that will form part of the broader WAIMs is currently under user acceptance testing, with training for users (Department of Conservation and regional councils) due in July. The broader system will be developed over a three-year period, with annual plans developed to support delivery.
