Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Of the support activities recorded by Homelessness Outreach providers and Housing Assistance Centres in the most recent reporting month, what number and percentage resulted in a household being connected to a form of housing assistance?

Hon Tama Potaka: As at the end of April 2026, Outreach Services had had 1,302 engagements, with 403 households supported over the month. There were 1,421 support activities, 5% were housed in Transitional housing, social housing or other form of housing, 4% were added to the Social Housing Register and 16% were connected to another form of housing assistance. There were 993 people supported through the three Housing Assistance Centres during May. There were 3,118 support activities, 4% were added to the Social Housing Register and 10% were connected to another form of housing assistance service.
