28874 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Does he consider a 23 percent exit rate of long-term housing or family from Immediate Access Transitional Housing to represent value for money; if so, why?
Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that immediate access transitional housing, in particular, has been effective in supporting rough sleepers and high-needs clients who have often found it difficult to engage with Government agencies and supports. Immediate access transitional housing also plays an important role in facilitating housing placements via referrals made by police and health workers.
