28854 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Education: On what date, if at all, did the Ministry of Education begin notifying schools of decisions about the funding of new classrooms and school property upgrades that she announced on 11 June 2026 and on what date did she first receive that funding information?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that, on 11 June 2026, Ministry of Education School Property staff contacted schools in the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Auckland and Te Tai Tokerau regions with Budget 2026-funded property projects. These schools have been in discussions with Ministry of Education officials for some time on their potential projects. I received the finalised list of funded schools on 3 June 2026.
