Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: Does the Minister intend to “investigate multi-year visas for RSE workers who have worked one season prior to applying for the multi-year visa” as outlined in the National Party’s ‘Primary Sector Growth Plan’ document, and if so, what advice, reports, briefings, aides-memoire, or any other documents has the Minister, or any member of their Office commissioned on this by title and date?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am yet to receive advice from officials specifically in relation to the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme. The Government’s priorities are set out in the National, ACT and NZ First coalition agreements. Policy decisions outside the governments coalition agreements are to be considered in due course.
