28846 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: What advice, if any, has the Minister had about the impacts of any job losses, if any, on the Minister’s departments, if any ?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Minister was provided information on the proposed new structure prior to the Ministry presenting it to all employees on 5 June 2024. The proposal would see budgeted FTEs reduce by 540 in total, from 1,230. This will be sequential with an interim reduction to 819 FTE in 2024/25, and a final reduction to 690 FTE in 2025/26.
