28837 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Finance: How many jobs broken down by job titles and region, if any, have been deliberately left unfilled in the Minister’s departments, if any, from the previous financial year ?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury is currently working toward a reduction of approximately 50 roles through attrition, the ending of fixed term roles and removal of vacancies. Since December 2023, the Treasury has initiated the centralisation of new and existing vacancies, aiming to decrease the total number of roles. They are still determining the outcome for these centralised roles, including the number that will be discontinued versus those that might be filled.
