28818 (2023). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: Does the Minister intend to progress Regular standardised assessment and clear reporting to parents, as outlined in the National Party’s ‘Teaching the Basics Brilliantly Policy Document,’ and if so, what advice, reports, briefings, aides-memoire, or any other documents has the Minister, or any member of their Office commissioned on this by title and date?
Hon Erica Stanford: As the Minister of Education, I have been seeking advice on a range of policy areas since taking office. I am committed to delivering the government's ambitious agenda. I have been briefed on existing work that can be built on or amended to progress this matter. I have requested, but not yet received, advice on progressing assessment related commitments and am yet to make decisions. The title of advice I have received which provided a briefing on this, and the date that I received it, is as follows: • Curriculum and assessment introductory briefing, 27 November 2023 This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 28806, 28807, 28810, 28819, and 29459 (2023).
